This is a story sent to I-USER From a woman named Ann of an up close Bigfoot sighting

In 1972-73... I saw a figure approx. 400 ft. from a winding
cliff road. I can say, that my eyes were fixed on it's  arms
waving-upwards-type mannerism.... I could have missed seeing this, had I not
casually looked to the right.  My eyes were locked!!!
I remember that it had to be extremely tall in proximity to the ledge it was
standing...  Actually very similar in appearance to the Classic photo (shown at bottom of page).

This location was in the Eureka, California area...(perhaps near
Blue Lake)  It was, as I mentioned, a winding, heavily forested cliff area.
An interesting, but unbelievable memory below remains still etched in my mind:

I witnessed this sighting, though even for the brief (perhaps minute) to
which it quickly disappeared from view (immediately obstructed by the
roadside jagged mountainside on my right). I had just become of driver's age,
and was the only one in car. This sighting would have showcased anyone's
attention had they gotten a glimpse. After losing sight of it,  my eyes
returned immediately to the road .. only to quickly see the underbelly of an
overturned small sized freight truck that had jackknifed into the middle of
the narrowly winding road. I braked quickly, and screeched within perhaps 6
to 10 feet from crashing into it's underside!
There was the odor and view of fuel spilled closely around it's placement,
with accident witnesses waving arms franticly. They motioned for me to
proceed cautiously around the accident.....(shouting that help was on it's
way)

I can't believe that I almost HIT this overturned truck! I   While still
shaking,  I moved around at the insistence of passerby's parked up slightly
ahead of the truck...A lingering question remained.... Did this driver also
see this "Bigfoot" image? (as did I)
The possibility remains that he too saw this prior to the mountain edge
obstruction, and perhaps as a result,  lost his controllability of his
vehicle....

Unfortunately I did not live near to this area (in order to investigate)....
So this remains always one of Life's unanswered questions...
